Good news for Majuli :

Today (29 March, 2013) on "SAMANNAY CULTURAL FESTIVAL- 2013" in Majuli Sri Sri Uttar Kamalabari Satra Governor of Assam has announced :-

• Construction of Bridge between Majuli and Lakhimpur will start from 2014.
• Helicopter facility to Majuli will start very soon .

Holi (Fakuwa) is a biggest festival celebrated in Majuli. Mainly it is celebrated for 3 days in Garamur Satra in a traditional manner. With lots of attractive events people enjoy a lot by playing with colours , singing Holigeet , exchanging love and respect.
