Huge flood in Majuli . Near about 90 villages outside the embankment are under water . People are fighting for a single glass of water. Every year flood comes and

Sankar Deva's Tithi 2013 have celebrated very colorfully today in Majuli :

"Sankar deva's " tithi , Today every villages , Satra's of Majuli have celebrated very colorfully. It was full of "Naam-Prasanga", "Bhawna" and lots of activities . 

Many people will not be able to celebrate Sankar Deva's Tithi this time because of Flood :

There is a huge crowds of  "Naam-Prasang" and "Doba-Sangkha" in Majuli . People are celebrating "Sankar Deva's Tithi" today. But unfortunately lots of people will not be able to celebrate this time. Many "Namghar's" are under water.  People are staying on road side. No more a single glass of water to drink. Very pathetic situation in many villages.

Huge flood in Majuli once again. People are crying for a glass of drinking water. Seeking for some help :

Huge flood in Majuli . All villages out side the embankment are under water . Situation of Hunuwal Kochari embankment is not under control. If water level will increase once again whole majuli will be flooded causing a huge lost . 

Thousand of families are living on roadside these days .  People will lost there paddy once again this time .They are crying for a glass of drinking water . Just seeking  some help.

Workshop on Gumrag Dance :

We have successfully completed our workshop on Gumrag Dance in Upar Sonuwal, Majuli. Around 100 youths from different 15 villages have participated the event which are flood hit and erosion affected. We are very thankful to MCLMA for their help to organize the workshop. We are also thankful to Satradhikar of Sir Sri Uttar kamolabari Saatra, Election officer of Majuli, Ranjan Kumbang, Sarma Ragon, Hemchandra Kutum, Amio Chirang, Manoj Kaman, Satyen Mahanta etc for their cooperation to make our event successful.

SILPISIKHA BORAH a girl from Majuli Kamalabari, daughter of Mr. Tarun Borah has secured 1st division with letter Marks in 2 subjects in HSLC exam 2013 though she has been fighting with CANCER since 2010 . Even after 10 times Chemotherapy and regular checkup in Mumbai and Guwahati, her indomitable spirit has radiated a very positive energy not only to the students but also to the patients of incurable diseases like cancer .
