On right that is Brahmaputra and on left there is Majuli. If this embankment will erode then Majuli will be divide in to two parts. Two Satras will Destroy in few minutes. Sorry to say Government is not taking any proper step to stop erosion. (Place - In front of Bhugpur Satra )

Two teenage boys belongs to Maluwal Katrotipar village of MAJULI were recently died in Brahmaputra river...... and few members of "ABAKASH MAJULI" had visited their house to consoled their family members ....(The worst is that no far victims bodies were recovered ....)

Islanders take divine route to save xatras :

Jorhat, Oct. 27: Dakhinpat Xatra, one of the oldest xatras in Majuli, has come forward to help save the island from erosion with the xatradhikar offering bhog to the Brahmaputra at a 

function held on the bank at Bengenawati-Bhogpur, one of the worst affected by erosion.
